Die Cut Mylar Bags
A rectangle is what everyone else has. Die cut mylar bags are cut to an outline you choose, a jar, a rounded pouch, a character, a bottle, with the same barrier film, zipper and heat seal as a standard bag. The shape does some of the branding before the print does.

What the die can and can't do
Any closed outline works. Very thin points and deep inner corners weaken the seal edge, so we round those slightly and show you where on the proof. The zipper runs straight across the top whatever the shape, which sets a minimum width at the mouth.

Die cut or standard?
Die cutting adds tooling and a proof step. It's worth it when the shape is part of the brand. If you just need a printed pouch, the standard rectangle on custom mylar bags is quicker and cheaper. We'll tell you which makes sense for your volume.

Mylar bags run $0.35 to $0.95 per unit at a minimum of 5,000 per design, and a die cut shape sits toward the upper end because it needs its own tooling.
