510 is a thread standard, not a size standard. The connection is consistent; the tank is not. Two cartridges that both thread onto the same battery can differ by several millimetres in diameter, which is enough for one to rattle in the other's insert. 510 vape cartridge packaging has to be cut to the tank, not the thread.
